Winter Crop Challenges!!!

It has been such a fun week-end at TSR! Lots of laughs, eating, drinking, and even scrapping!!!

Ok, so first of all, to prove that I was really scrapping (and not a robot scrapping for me)!!! LOL

So...first thing I did, as all exercisers do, is I warmed up...I know for once I followed the rules LOL!

This challenge required a banner, 2 stamps, 4 pattern papers, a piece of cloth (pink ribbon), and came with a sketch for inspiration. I was able to use some stencils that have been calling my name, as well as some tickets that have been kicking around. All the paper from this LO came from American Crafts XOXO line.

There were lots of places to get inspiration at TSR including MOJO tips on the TSR blog. For the MOJO challenge I polished off some PL pages here:

Some Feb. 2013

and Fall 2012...what a great way to at least get picture organized with some stories! Loving PL!

Julie had us do a sketch challenge and here is what I did here of my wonderful piece of scrappy heaven....

Last but not least, I completed Mels Die Cut or Punch Challenge...with a stamp. The die's are on both pages (journalling dies) and stamp is the orange triple heart.

I didn't get to complete all the challenges, and I must shut down to pack for an away crop! Thanks to all the TSR gals for their creativity, and thanks for looking!

Creating PL cards from my stash...

As many of you know, I have been cutting up my stash to make my own PL cards.

Here is my official Stash bucket right now! (Yes even after the cutting I have found even more stuff to commit to this bucket!)

Here was my PL folder before I started my trimming obsession:

and now its sits comfortable at nine inches deep...I measured it beside my paper trimmer  :

Do you ladies ever find that the more you go looking in your stash, the more you find!?!

Does anyone else want to share thoughts on their PL set-up?

Project Life...

I have been working on Project Life (my version) this month. For the most part, it has not taken a lot of time, but a bit of organization. You can see in my second last blog post that I have started preparing some PL cards from my scraps:

Back a few years ago, when PL started to be talked about, I did try a few months of it. This is January & February 2010 (pages were completed in 2010):

It was also the year 2010, that I adapted some Family Heritage pages, to the pocket style. I am the last living relative on my Mother's side of the family, so I have inherited all the pictures. These were quite overwhelming to begin to put in an album. The pocket pages have allowed me to have a lot of flexibility in creating the album. In addition, I am mixing regular pages with the pocket pages as I come across really special pictures that I want to highlight.

In 2012, we went on a huge family holiday for 3 weeks to Orlando. For this multitude of pictures, I decided to go with 8.5 X 11 pocket pages:

Currently, these are pages from my 2013 Family Album. I am really enjoying starting the year off with the pocket pages, as I capture the, baking, watching tv, filling the Keurig dispenser, and the really exciting times like laundry and cleaning...oh bliss!!!

I must admit there are moments that would not have made it on camera, if it were not for this format!!!

Thanks for looking, and for all those who have given me inspiration to do this!!!

What are those everyday moments that you are capturing doing Project Life style pages???

With Sincere Appreciation...

I feel so blessed to be a part of a very special online community...The Scraproom (TSR)! I joined TSR in 2006. I have heard that like-minded people find each other in the world, and I really feel that there is evidence of this at TSR!

We are all a bunch of women. We laugh, we cry, and above all else, we share a passion for scrapbooking!!! Through our online visiting, we have developed meaningful relationships. We fill each other in on our daily lives including the trials and the triumphs. Some of us have even had the opportunity to meet others in real life (IRL). That is when it becomes even more apparent how alike we really are. Through all this, there is one strong underlying quality in us all...we are all supportive of each other!!! We share things with this group and know the others have our backs. For all of this, I feel so blessed.

As many of you know, I took a big step towards a dream of mine a few months ago and registered to become a Life Coach. This had been a dream of mine for over a decade. I have been so lucky to have you gals to encourage and advise me. I am now a Certified Life Coach and just want to share with you all how grateful I am for your never-ending support (no matter what I'm up to!).

Thank-you TSR ladies!

My blog will be expanding soon to have a sister blog, and I'll keep you posted!

So, what are you grateful for at TSR? I look forward to hearing from you!
